Details:
In addition to the Radio Mix, the E.P. is loaded with two special edits by the Kings themselves: da deep smoked out King Electric Club Mix plus noizy filterguits, Walter Gibbons strings and rowdy lovemachine bass and the Il grande silencio dub epos Yul Brynner + special guest Klaus Kinski aka Loco…and percussion wizard Courtney Jones on drums [recorded @ Dubblestandart Studio Vienna] Track 4 is a stomping prolo-disco mix by Terence iLL & Bud Flanger [producers of the new Louie Austin Album "Last Man Crooning / Electrotaining You"], the most functional effort on this versatile record.

"KING ELECTRIC - DA KING" - Official Video Clip

Produced and directed by Karin Heide for Mingo.TV.
Special thanks to CREO for lightning and camera support, SAE Vienna for technical support, Peter Vogelauer for the awesome clown make up...

Details:
The first KING ELECTRIC single DA KING comes as a wave synth-disco freak show immersed in the world of fairground kitsch and circus glamour. The Radio Mix is also available on the FM4 Sound Selection 20 (feat. MGMT, Animal Collective, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, etc.) and peaked #5 at the official Austrian compilation charts / #29 @ Austrian Indie charts. The trashy video clip with the two clowns was even presented as part of the Diagonale 2010 (Festival of Austrian Film).

Remixes: "DJ Stingray Mix" by Sherard Ingram (aka DJ Stingray) is a deep, almost industrial down-tempo electro spider from the Motor City. Ingram is well known for his collaborations with Drexciya (as the official Drexciya DJ) and his works with Carl Craig on Retroactive and Planet E as Urban Tribe. His career spans almost two decades of relentless Detroit techno, house, down-tempo and more recent releases since he began as a DJ with his friend Kenny Dixon Jr. in Detroit’s legendary Motorcycle Club.

With "Flying King Mash Up Mix", King Electric pull out of the hat their 2003 club hit, "Flying Carpet", and fuse it with Vocoders and vocals of the Radio Edit into an „uplifting“ four-to-the floor dub version. The old master, Cristian Vogel, has given a massive injection of extra punch to the "deep house track with a great deal of understated funk and shuffling beats to perfection (DE:BUG)" in the re-mastering.
